While it’s not just the schools that make South Etobicoke a great place to raise your family, it’s certainly a huge plus!
Beyond just their education, your child’s school will be foundational to their personal growth and development outside of the classroom – so choosing the right one is a pretty big deal. Fortunately, South Etobicoke has plenty of amazing options that cater to all ages, grades, and learning styles.
School Districts in South Etobicoke
Because South Etobicoke is located within the formal City of Toronto, most schools in the area fall under the Toronto District School Board. As the city’s long-serving public education board, TDSB has a strong reputation for supportive learning environments, friendly and caring teachers, and fun extracurricular activities.
Along with public schooling, there are a few faith-oriented options too. As a number of these schools are Catholic, they belong to the Toronto Catholic District School Board. Local French immersion schools are part of either Conseil Scolaire catholique MonAvenir or Conseil Scolaire Viamonde, which offer both faith-based and secular learning pathways respectively.
